The Singing Rock Bandit Ice Tool is up for almost any type of ascent. Its modular design allows it to adapt to midwinter ice climbs, mixed routes, and technical mountaineering objectives. The hot-forged head is specifically designed to be jammed into cracks while mixed climbing and provides support when utilizing the Bandit as a traditional ice axe during mountaineering missions. It also accepts either an ice or dry pick and adze or hammer for increased versatility. The curved shaft really excels in steeper terrain, but isn’t overly aggressive to the point it becomes useless when you’re confronted with a more moderate hanging snowfield. Lash a leash through the loop at the handle during technical mountaineering missions or clip a bungee tether to it when you know you’ll be on vertical terrain for most of the day–either way, you’ll be set with this adaptable ice tool.
